- Since 2003, the WGBH Lab has offered a virtual and physical space for innovation and experimentation in the world of user-generated content. The Lab is both a resource and a community for media-makers of all kinds, where users interact as they watch, create, and collaborate on video work.
The Lab is made up of 3 programs:
Lab Open Call
Do you have a fresh idea for a short film? Pitch it and if we like it, we may pay you to produce it.
Lab Sandbox
Watch and download free video clips selected from the WGBH Media Library. Cut, loop, and mash them, and let us know what you make!
Filmmakers in Residence
Filmmakers and media producers with independent funding are invited to produce or post-produce a film during a six- to nine-month residency at WGBH.
Oh, and we're produced by WGBH Boston Media Productions.

Four months ago we asked you to pitch us your election stories -- with your help we chose which pitches to send into production and used your feedback to steer the projects in the right direction. And now 6 of YOUR election stories are complete and ready to watch online.
